The Manchester United boss has outlined what he expects from Chelsea ahead of Carabao Cup tie at Stamford Bridge
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that Manchester United's opening day victory against Chelsea flattered the Red Devils, ahead of their Carabao Cup clash this week.
United face Frank Lampard's men at Stamford Bridge tomorrow (Wednesday) in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, with both sides looking to build on positive recent results.
The two teams have met already this season, with Manchester United recording a thumping 4-0 victory against Chelsea on the opening weekend of the Premier League season at Old Trafford.
But Solskjaer has said that Chelsea played well in that game and did not deserve such a margin of victory, with the United boss praising his opposite number for the work he has done since taking charge of the Blues in the summer.
"I think Frank has done a good job," Solskjaer said.
Because the performance against us was good. The result was bad. We held our hands up then as well and said yep, 4-0, flattering.
"We got pegged back, they pressed us but we scored two goals within a minute, the second and third, which decided the game for us. But we didn't think we were 4-0 better than them.
It is going to be an interesting game. We don’t make it easy for ourselves in the cups, with the draws."
